In response to the health assessment, a Partnership for a Healthier Alexandria was created in 2006 to improve a select number of health issues through coalition building, collaborative planning and community action. In 2007, a Community Environmental Health Assessment of Alexandria was conducted by the Health Department’s Environmental Health Division. This data has been used to supplement the work that was already underway with the Partnership for a Healthier Alexandria.
