Youth Mentoring & Development ProgramsProgram/Service Young Stars Success Program (YSSP) Description Dr. Lawrence Jointer, ACPS Director of Pupil Services, began this program in 2001 to address the need to increase the possibility of high school success for young men and to reduce/eliminate school suspensions. The mission is to create and foster a cadre of academically and socially successful young males to serve as role models in the community. Students and mentors meet twice monthly for tutoring, support, social activities and field trips. Students may contact mentors at any time for support.
