Membership in SAPCA is open to Alexandria residents and others who would like to work with us to prevent youth substance use and abuse. Members come from a wide range of sectors in the community:

• Youth
• Parents
• Business Community
• Media
• School
• Youth Serving Organization
• Law Enforcement
• Religious or Fraternal Organization
• Volunteer and Civic Group
• Health Care
• State/Local /Tribal Govt Agency

We invite you to join SAPCA.

As a SAPCA member, you can:

• Assist with SAPCA’s prevention activities, such as addressing teen alcohol use at prom, beach week and parties.
• Access speakers who can make presentations about substance abuse at your business or organization.
• Participate in SAPCA’s community assessment and strategic planning processes.
• Attend quarterly SAPCA meetings where you’ll receive updates on SAPCA activities and learn about the ongoing community assessment that is helping us better understand teen substance abuse in Alexandria.
• Receive SAPCA’s monthly e-newsletter, filled with the latest research findings about adolescent substance abuse, lists of resources and training opportunities for parents and students, and SAPCA news.
• Serve on a SAPCA committee (strategic planning, communications, education, law enforcement, etc.).
